Odisha Varsities Told To Refund Unspent Money On Civil Service Coaching Centre

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Higher Education Department has directed the registrars of eight universities to immediately refund the unspent balance of the funds released for establishing civil service coaching centres on their campuses.

The eight universities are Utkal University, Berhampur University, Sambalpur University, RD Women’s University, Ravenshaw University, GM University, FM University and North Odisha University.

In a letter dated December 24, the Additional Secretary of Higher Education Department, Rajashree Mohanty, mentioned that the eight universities were asked to refund the unspent balance in June, but none of them have done so even after a lapse of six months.

“Hence, you are requested to take immediate steps for the refund of unspent balance released for establishing ‘Civil Service Coaching Centre’ in university,” the letter added.
