New Delhi: Shubham Kumar has topped the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services exam 2020.
According to the results declared by UPSC on Friday, 761 candidates have been successful and recommended for appointment in Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and other Central Services (Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’).
Jubin Mohapatra of Bhubaneswar has bagged a rank of 46 to emerge topper in Odisha.
All-India topper Shubham graduated in B Tech (Civil Engineering) from IIT Bombay, while second-ranked Jagrati Awasthi — the best among female candidates — graduated in B Tech (Electrical Engineering) from MANIT Bhopal.
The preliminary exam was conducted in October 2020, while the main exam was held from January 8 to January 17, 2021.
Candidates who qualified in the main exam then had to appear for interview or personality test, which was held from August 2 to September 22.
To check the result, candidates can have to follow these steps:
* Visit the official site of UPSC on upsc.gov.in.
* Click on UPSC Civil Services Result 2020 link available on the home page.
* A new PDF file will open where candidates can check their result.
* Download PDF file and keep a hard copy of the same for further need.
Marksheets of candidates who have not qualified will be uploaded on the Commission’s website within 15 days.
