Class XII Board Exam: CBSE To Form Panel To Address Result Disputes

New Delhi: In a fresh affidavit to the Supreme Court on Monday, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) said that the board will constitute a committee to deal with the disputes on Class XII results.

Further, it will conduct the optional exams for the students not satisfied with the evaluation criteria between August 15 and September 15. CBSE will open the application window to register for the optional exams after the Class XII results are declared by July 31.

The rider is that the optional exams will only be held if the COVID situation normalises and conducting exams in offline mode is feasible and that too, for the main subjects, LiveLaw.in reported.

These amendments have been made by CBSE to the original policy formulated by it in pursuance of the Supreme Court’s order on Thursday asking the Boards to incorporate the provision for dispute resolution and to provide a timeline for the declaration of results and for optional exams to be conducted, the report added.
