COVID-19 Outbreak: Scholastic India Launches Free E-learning Programmes
New Delhi: While schools across the country have shut down for an indefinite period amidst the coronavirus outbreak, Scholastic India has come up with several E-learning programmes to keep school going children engaged when at home.
These educative online programmes are available for children of different grades on any device including mobile phones.
Managing Director of Scholastic India, Neeraj Jain said, “The COVID-19 pandemic is posing serious challenges when it comes to continuity of education. We at Scholastic, have always prioritised and focussed on making education creatively engaging for children.”
Here’s a list of virtual learning tools for children:
1. Scholastic Learn at Home
These grade-wise learning resources and activities include day-to-day projects to keep children reading, thinking and learning, with engaging content for three hours per day.
2. Scholastic Classroom Magazine:
It includes grade-wise collection of articles with age-appropriate information to help children ease their fear regarding coronavirus.
3. BookFlix:
It includes online literacy resource paired with fact and fiction to build love for reading and learning among students of Grade KG to Grade 2.
4. LitPro Library
This includes engaging leveled eBooks for developing successful readers.
“Even in today’s scenario, in the absence of classrooms, we’ve enabled the flow of learning to continue by making several of our online resources available free of cost till 31 May 2020. We are elated at the overwhelmingly positive response, with huge participation from parents, teachers and the chidlren themselves,” stated MD of Scholastic India.
