Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh government has decided to shut all schools — both government and private — in view of the upsurge in COVID-19 cases across the country.
The schools for classes I to XII will remain suspended in the state till May 10. The coaching institutes will also be closed and the online classes have been deferred till further notice.
The decision to shut down schools and coaching institutes was made following the announcement of a complete lockdown from 8 pm on April 30 to 7 am on May 4.
