CUET UG Must For Admissions To Delhi University
Delhi University has clarified that CUET UG 2025 subjects must match with that of Class 12 for admissions
NEW DELHI: Delhi University (DU) has made it clear that candidates seeking admissions to all undergraduate programmes must appear for Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG 2025).
Th university has also said that said students should choose the CUET UG subjects as per the ones covered in Class 12.
During a webinar focused on undergraduate admissions for the upcoming academic session, DU Dean of Admissions Haneet Gandhi and Joint Dean Anand Sonkar answered the queries from students and parents.
They emphasised that the CUET UG applications be filled with accurate details such as name, parents’ names, category, and correct submission of photos and digital signatures.
Gandhi cautioned that mistakes in the CUET application forms cannot be corrected later and advised the students to be cautious while choosing their subjects.
From 2025, CUET UG will enable students to opt for a maximum of five subjects from total 37, with the inclusion of a General Aptitude Test.

Answering a question, the officials explained that to get admission into B.Com (Hons.), students should have studied mathematics or accountancy in Class 12. Students who have not studied these subjects are not eligible for B.Com (Hons.), but can seek admission for B.Com programme.
The DU authorities reiterated that the CUET UG scores would be the only admission criterion, and Class 12 board results would be considered for passing eligibility only.
They asked students to rely only the official DU website for information.
With 69 affiliated colleges offering 79 undergraduate courses, Delhi University will admit students on the basis of CUET UG 2025 scores, except School of Open Learning (SOL), Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board (NCWEB), and foreign candidates.
