New Delhi: Delhi University (DU) has formed a working committee to study exam-related matters for the 2019-20 session.
Headed by the dean of examinations, the committee will also review the university’s preparedness to conduct exams, as per a DU statement.
In an earlier meeting, however, a proposal to invite ‘oral submissions’ of answers from students was opposed by many council members.
While the university is yet to take a call on the online examinations, the students have been asked to register online for the annual and semester exams. Over 1.5 lakh students have registered online so far and the application process will remain open till May 15.
According to the UGC guidelines, college exams will be held in June. In case the situation does not normalize students can be promoted based on internal assessment and past-year scores.
