Delhi University Releases List Of 6,100 Vacant Seats For Second Round Of Admission, Check The Details

Students who were allocated seats in the second round should confirm their allotment by August 27, 2024

HYDERABAD: The University of Delhi (DU) has declared a list of 6,100 vacant seats available for the second round of admissions to undergraduate programmes.

In the first round, 65,843 seats, 91.98% of the total seats available, got filled. Candidates were allowed to modify their college and course preferences between August 22 and 23, 2024.

The students were allocated seats in the second round of counselling must confirm their allotment by August 27, 2024, with the colleges concerned. The admissions will be finalized by August 29, 2024 while the last date for students to pay the admission fee is August 30, 2024.

Those who have applied for admission to DU can check the list on the university’s official websites, du.ac.in and admission.uod.ac.in.

In the second round, 24,869 fresh seats were allocated, while 27,554 candidates were allowed higher preference choices, said reports.

Delhi University is offering admission to approximately 71,600 seats (excluding supernumerary seats) in 69 colleges, departments, and centres for 2024-25 academic year. The admissions are being done for 1,559 different programmes and college combinations.

As per the rules, candidates who got rejected in the first round due to invalid certificates or documents have been reconsidered in the unreserved category based on their merit and preferences, subject to availability of seats.

  • Class 10 certificate and marksheet (for date of birth verification)
  • Transfer Certificate (TC) or School Leaving Certificate (SLC)
  • Migration certificate (if applicable)
  • Category certificate (SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwD), if applicable
  • Passport-sized photographs
  • Provisional certificate (from the last attended school)
  • Character certificate (from the last attended institution)
  • Address proof (e.g., Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, or Passport)
