Delhi: The University of Delhi (DU) has announced that it will reopen the university for the final-year UG and PG students on September 15, following the principle of rotation.
Classes will be conducted in both online and offline modes, but only practical classes will resume in physical mode. Meanwhile, offline classes will continue to take place.
The teaching and non-teaching staff must receive both the doses and students must receive at least one dose of vaccine before entering the varsity, however, students who received two doses of vaccine will be allowed into hostels.
The university administration has opened the thrown the library doors open from September 6 for students following all the COVID protocols.
The decision has been made by the DU administration following guidelines issued by the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) allowing the reopening of educational institutions.
The Jawaharlal Nehru University administration has also announced to reopen the varsity in a phased manner. Offline classes will first start for PhD scholars who need to submit their thesis this year. The university issued an order that physical entry of students is voluntary and attendance is not mandatory.
