DGT, Microsoft, NASSCOM To Jointly Train ITI Students
New Delhi: The Directorate General of Training (DGT), Microsoft and NASSCOM Foundation joined hands to launch a digital learning course for around 1.2 lakh students from nearly 3,000 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) across the country.
The digitised e-learning programme can be accessed on the Bharatskills portal, a central repository for skill development programmes, according to a PTI report.
“Nearly 1,20,000 students in around 3,000 ITIs across India can be benefited by this digitized e-learning module via the Bharatskills portal,” a statement from the ministry said.
According to skill development and entrepreneurship minister, Mahendra Nath Pandey, the programme is aimed at digitisation of education which will impact thousands of students and hopes to reach more students and teachers soon.
