New Delhi: Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank cleared doubts on NEP 2020 as he took questions of students from all over the country on Thursday.
During the session on Twitter, the minister informed that the existing e-learning platforms like Swayam and Diksha will be extended to provide teachers with a structured, user-friendly, rich set of assistive tools to monitor the progress of learners.
Speaking on vocational education, Pokhriyal said that NEP envisages the integration of vocational education in the entire education sector. Even secondary schools can collaborate with ITIs, polytechnics, local industry, and more.
He also said that the NEP aims to provide affordable and world-class education to everyone. “Various provisions have been outlined in #NEP to ensure that the #education is made affordable to all learners, especially those who belong to SEDGs (Socially and Economically Disadvantages Groups),” he wrote on Twitter.
The minister had informed earlier that he will be answering queries to clear doubts about NEP and invited questions on the topic. The purpose was to create awareness about the new policy.
