Education USA Graduate Virtual Fair: 32% Students Participate From Odisha, Telangana, Andhra
Bhubaneswar: The annual university fair organised by Education USA was held virtually on August 27. More than one hundred (101) US higher education institutions participated in the Education USA Graduate Virtual Fair.
The fair was attended by thousands of students from four countries across South and Central Asia. The fair, designed for students interested in pursuing their graduate studies in the United States, delivered expert information about educational options at the Masters and PhD levels in the United States.
More than 6,000 students from across India took part in the Education USA Graduate Virtual Fair, with 32 per cent (1,962) of them from the states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Odisha.
There was a 44 per cent increase in the number of attendees from the three states at the 2021 Graduate Virtual Fair compared to last year, indicating an increased interest among students from the region in pursuing their higher education in the United States.
The top city in India, with the highest number of registrations and attendees at the fair, was Hyderabad. “The United States continues to attract international students from across the globe, including Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Odisha,” the US Consul General in Hyderabad, Joel Reifman was quoted as saying in a media release.
“Students who attended the Education USA Graduate Virtual Fair obtained valuable information to help them explore higher education opportunities in the United States,” he said.
The Education USA undergraduate virtual fair will be held on Friday, September 3 for students interested in pursuing their Associates or Bachelor’s degrees in the United States.
