Educational Institutions Served Notice By Delhi HC On Petition Against Offline Exams
New Delhi: A notice has been served by the Delhi High Court to Guru Gobind Singh IP University and other institutions, following a petition filed challenging physical exams for BA LLB and BBA LLB courses, reported DU Updates.
The institutions challenged in the petition include Guru Gobind Singh IP University, University Grants Commission (UGC), Bar Council of India (BCI), Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies and Amity University.
The petition, filed through Affinity Legal Law firm by Sudhanshu Kathuria along with other students, sought the setting aside of the notifications dated September 30 and October 20 for the physical exams, citing reasons like the pandemic, mental anguish, and financial burdens on families.
The petitioners also pointed out that the notifications go against the guidelines laid down by UGC, BCI, and the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
Further hearing on the matter will be conducted on November 12.
