Pune: The students’ association of Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) here has sought immediate suspension of online classes for the 2020 batch students saying it is becoming increasingly difficult for them to attend classes.
The FTII Students Association (FSA) has also sought a meeting with the institute’s chairman Shekhar Kapur to discuss their concerns. The students, faculties, staff members and families are getting affected not just by COVID-19, but also by financial and mental health issues associated with it, the students’ body argued, educationtimes.com reported.
The FTII administration has however clarified that the online classes were being held only for one batch and many students were attending them. In case students miss a lecture or a session, a review or recap session is conducted on Saturdays, the report added.
The administration further explained that the classes will continue to be held for the duration they are planned to benefit those students who are interested, educationtimes.com reported.
