Gadkari Urges Students To Use Knowledge, Entrepreneurial Skills To Boost Economy

Silchar: Union Minister Nitin Gadkari urged the students of Assam on Friday to use their knowledge and entrepreneurial skills to boost country and state’s economic growth.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi aimed at making India a five trillion-dollar economy, and to realise this vision, meritorious students would have to utilise their knowledge as a recognisable force for economic transformation,” Gadkari was quoted as saying by news agency PTI. The minister addressed the Assam University’s 18th convocation.

The Minister for road transport and highways encouraged youths to become entrepreneurs and self-sufficient and said that the MSME sector contributes about 30 per cent of the country’s GDP.

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal stressed on the opportunities created through the implementation of the Act East Policy for the North-East region, reported PTI.
