Ghaziabad Parents’ Indefinite Hunger Strike Over School Fees Enters Sixth Day

Ghaziabad: The indefinite hunger strike by the Ghaziabad Parents Association for its demands, including waiving off of entire school fees for the months of April, May and June, has entered the sixth day on Monday.

Earlier, protesters had alleged that the District Inspector of Schools (DIOS) is not taking action into the matter and trying to resolve the issue.

A protester told ANI, “Two protesters have been hospitalized but no representative of admin has come to talk to us.”

The parents have demanded a three-month fee waiver after the coronavirus pandemic hit the country. Parents from all over the country have participated in several social media campaigns and written letters to the officials, leaders about the fee issues.
