Ahmedabad: Schools are set to reopen for Classes IX and XI in Gujarat on February 1, as per the direction from the state government.
“We will be allowing 15 students in each classroom and classes will be held thrice a week,” the administrative officer of an Ahmedabad school, Srishti Patel was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.
Patel said classes for IX and XI and X and XII will be conducted on alternate days. “We have taken consent from the parents of the students as they are also very happy about the decision of reopening of schools,” Patel said.
According to her, students faced network issues during online classes. “Now, they can get a conducive environment for both studies and exams,” Patel added.
It may be recalled that the Gujarat government reopened schools for classes X and XII on January 11 after they were shut in March following the nationwide lockdown imposed due to COVID-19 pandemic.
