Haryana Govt To Open Sanskrit Model School In Every Block

Chandigarh: The Haryana Government has decided to open a Sanskrit model school in each block of the State.

According to news reports, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has said the schools will further improve the quality of education in the state.

At present, there are 22 Sanskrit schools in every district of the state.

The State Government’s announcement comes against the backdrop of enhanced thrust by the BJP-led dispensation’s at the Centre to promote and popularise Sanskrit across academic institutes in the country.

On Wednesday, a bill to set up central sanskrit universities was introduced in the Lok Sabha. Once the legislation is enacted, three deemed to be Sanskrit universities in the country would be converted into central universities.
