Hyderabad: The girl students appearing for the National Defence Academy (NDA) exam commencing in the first week of October will now get special coaching ahead of the exams. The Telangana Social Welfare Residential Armed Forces Preparatory Degree College for Women, Bhongir, will provide special coaching for them.
The focus would initially be on the written exam which will test the students’ knowledge in 12 subjects, including maths, English, current affairs, chemistry, history, among others. The test will be for a total of 900 marks in which students have to score at least 40 per cent to qualify.
“NDA exam is considered to be one of the toughest examinations in the country,” founder and director of the college, Major Usha Sharma was quoted as saying by The Times of India.
The exam will be of 5-hour duration. “So, we are going to concentrate on training students for the written test,” the director said. Sharma, the first woman army officer from united Andhra Pradesh, said that the coaching would be in online mode initially.
After the written test, students would also be imparted training for Services Selection Board (SSB) exam.
