Khandwa: A private school here in Madhya Pradesh found itself in the eye of the storm after a class VI question paper allegedly asked the students to answer an unusual question. They were asked the full name of the son of Bollywood couple Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan in a question paper.
This immediately prompted the education department to issue a show-cause notice to the school. However, the school authorities said the question should be seen as an effort to bolster students’ knowledge.
“Write the full name of the son of Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan,” read the question that in the general knowledge paper of term-end exam-II of Class VI. The incident took place in Academic Heights Public School in Khandwa city on Thursday.
A local parents-teachers body voiced concerns about it while several netizens shared the copy of the question paper on different social media platforms.
District education officer Sanjeev Bhalerao said the issue has come to his knowledge and the department would serve a show-cause notice to the school concerned.
“After getting a reply from the school, further action will be taken as per the directives of the higher authorities,” Bhalerao was quoted as saying on Friday by news agency PTI.
