Here’s How Odisha Plans To Enhance Students’ Literacy Skills

Bhubaneswar: In a bid to enhance the foundational literacy and numeracy skills of the state’s students, the Odisha government has launched Mission Ek, Dui, Teen (1,2,3) effective from the current academic session.

“The mission aims to ensure that by the end of 2026-27, every child acquires desired learning competencies in reading, writing and numeracy by the time they are promoted to class 4,” State Council of Education Research and Training (SCERT) director, Gangadhar Sahoo was quoted as saying by The Times of India.

Mission Ek, Dui, Teen is part of the National Initiative for Proficiency in Reading with Understanding and Numeracy (NIPUN Bharat) is aimed at covering the learning needs of children aged between 3 and 9 years.
