New Delhi: The National Eligibility Test (NET) results are likely to be declared by the University Grant Commission (UGC) in two days’ time.
The newly-appointed UGC Chairperson Prof M Jagadesh Kumar issued a press release on Wednesday. “UGC is working closely with NTA and all efforts are being made to declare the UGC-NET results in a day or two,” Kumar was quoted as saying in the release.
The UGC-NET was held in 81 subjects, across 837 centres spread in 239 cities in the country. Over 12 lakh candidates had registered for the UGC-NET exam.
The December-2020 UGC-NET examination could not be held due to the worsening COVID situation. The UGC conducted the December 2020 and June 2021 cycles together
Phase I of UGC-NET December 2020 and June 2021 was conducted between November 20, 2021, and December 5, 2021, Phase II from December 24 to December 27, 2021, and Phase III on January 4 and 5, 2022, via Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode.
The exam answer key was released and representations were invited on January 21.
