ICAI Dismisses Rumours, Says Nov Exams To Be Held As Per Schedule
Reports circulating in social media claimed about the postponement of the exams to Dec
The Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAI) of India has dismissed reports circulating in social media that the CA exams for November have been postponed in view of the recent agitation by the students demanding reforms in the tests.
In a statement issued on Thursday morning, ICAI said the November exams will be held as per schedule. It advised students to ignore any rumours regarding the postponement of the exams.
“It is hereby clarified that the above announcement has not been issued by the Institute and the exams slated for November 2019 will commence from 1st November 2019 as per schedule mentioned in the Institute’s announcement hosted at www.icai.org under “Important Announcement – CA Examinations November, 2019 – (14-08-2019)”
Students are requested not to pay heed to such unfounded rumours and get misled. They are hereby advised to refer only to the official web site www.icai.org for any announcement,” the statement said.
CA aspirants had recently resorted to large-scale agitation in front of the ICAI head office in New Delhi demanding reforms in the exam process, especially with regards to the evaluation of the answer scrips and awarding of marks. The agitation was called off after ICAI set up a high-level panel to look into the issue.
