ICAI To Conduct CA Final Exams Thrice A Year Starting 2025

Bhubaneswar: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced that the CA Final exams will be held three times a year starting in 2025, instead of twice.

However, this decision, aimed at providing more opportunities for students, was made during the 441st Council Meeting on March 27, 2025, in New Delhi.

According to the reports, ICAI introduced thrice-yearly exams for the CA Intermediate and Foundation levels last year. With this latest decision, all three levels—Final, Intermediate, and Foundation—will follow the same exam schedule.

However, ICAI announced that CA exams will be held in January, May, and September. Additionally, the Post Qualification Course in Information Systems Audit will now have its Assessment Test thrice a year, in February, June, and October, instead of twice.

ICAI President CA Charanjot Singh Nanda called the decision a milestone, stating, “These epoch-making decisions will significantly benefit both students and members, offering them enhanced opportunities for success. This move marks a new era in the way we support and guide our future Chartered Accountants. ICAI is working 24/7 for the growth of its members and students. This historic decision will ensure that both students and professionals have abundant opportunities to excel in their careers.”

ICAI has announced the schedule for the May 2025 CA exams. The CA Foundation, Intermediate, and Final exams will be held from May 2 to May 21, while the International Taxation Assessment Test (INTT–AT) is scheduled for May 10 and 13.
