New Delhi: Close on the heels of CBSE, the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has urged schools to provide the average score of the Class X 2021 candidates based on their performance in Class IX and X exams, said an official circular.
The Council has started the process of collating and collecting data for the assessment of ICSE 2021 candidates and has sent a circular to all the heads of ICSE schools for the purpose.
“…the CISCE is in the process of collating and collecting data, which will be required from all our schools. Therefore, you are requested to provide the following information of the candidates registered & confirmed for the ICSE Year 2021 Examination: 1. The average marks of papers/subjects scored by the concerned candidates in the examinations conducted by the school at Class IX level for the academic year 2019-20. (In percentage form/out of 100) 2. The average marks of papers/subjects scored by the concerned candidates in the examinations conducted by the school at Class X level for the academic year 2020-21. (In percentage form/out of 100),” said Gerry Arathoon, chief executive and secretary of the CISCE, in a circular issued by the Council.
How it will be done?
- The average marks of papers/subjects will have to be uploaded online via the internal assessment module on the careers portal.
- ICSE schools will also have to submit the consolidated mark sheets of Class IX and X from the school records to match the marks provided on the careers portal.
- The documents should be authenticated, and then stamped, dated and signed by the head of the school.The internal assessment module has been activated from April 30 onwards to ensure that schools can upload the consolidated mark sheets by May 15. In states where there is a total lockdown, the schools will have to submit the data by May 22.For candidates who took a transfer from one ICSE school to another, the average marks of Class IX or X report card have to be sourced from the earlier school. Any delay in the submission of this information will delay the result declaration.It may be recalled that CISCE had cancelled the ICSE examination on April 19.
