New Delhi: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has introduced a certificate course in Sanskrit.
Candidates willing to register for IGNOU admission 2021 for the new course, which will be available from the July session, can apply online via the official website ignou.samarth.edu.in.
Candidates having cleared the Class XII examination are eligible to apply online till July 15. The course duration is a minimum of six months and a maximum of one year. The course fee is Rs 1500. A registration fee of Rs 200 will also be charged.
Earlier, IGNOU’s School of Performing and Visual Arts (SOPVA) had introduced the Master of Arts in Drawing and Painting or MADP programme, also commencing from the July 2021 session.
“The programme aims to provide education to the discerning students who do not have access to study Fine Arts through conventional systems,” said the university.
According to the university, employed, self-employed, freelancers, designers, illustrators, textile professionals, interior decorators, school and college teachers, aspiring professionals, etc can benefit from the programme.
