New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the date of the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) PhD Entrance Exam 2021.
The IGNOU PhD examination 2021 is scheduled for February 24. Candidates set to appear for the exam should check the official notice on the IGNOU’s official site — ignou.ac.in.
“In continuation to the Public Notice dated 7 January 2022 regarding extension of registration date of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU Ph.D.) Entrance Examination 2021 for admission to various Ph.D. Courses for the Academic Session 2021-22, it is hereby informed that National Testing Agency (NTA) will now be conducting IGNOU Ph.D. 2021 Entrance Examination on 24 February 2022,” read the Official Notice.
Earlier, the examination was scheduled for January 16, which was postponed due to the surge in COVID cases. The exam duration is 180 minutes i.e 10 am to 1 pm. The candidates need to answer 100 questions. They have the option of answering the questions in two mediums — Hindi and English.
No negative marking will be applied in the exam, with each question carrying 4 marks.
Candidates securing 50 per cent marks in the Entrance Test will be selected for the interview in order of merit. This is subject to the five-time maximum limit for the available seats.
