IIM Sambalpur Introduces AI In Classrooms As Faculty

BHUBANESWAR: The Indian Institute of Management, (IIM) Sambalpur has introduced Artificial Intelligence (AI)-enabled teaching in its classrooms to ensure transformative learning experience for students.
On its 10th foundation day, IIM Sambalpur Director Professor Mahadeo Jaiswal stressed the role that AI would play in reshaping the learning environment. “With AI, the role of teachers will shift from teaching to creating and facilitating learning experiences,” reports quoted Jaiswal as saying.
This move aims to enhance the quality of education and engage students more dynamically.
The IIM Sambalpur has witnessed a remarkable growth, expanding from 49 MBA students in 2015 to 320, with 75% female student body, said a release.
The 10th foundation day featured keynotes from industry leaders, including Uday A. Kaole, CMD of MCL, who praised the institute’s innovative spirit.
Centres of Excellence
Professor Jaiswal announced plans for a Women’s Empowerment Summit in February, aligning with the vision of the Viksit Bharat. IIM Sambalpur is set to set up three Centres of Excellence and diversify its MBA programme in line with the National Education Policy’s focus on international accreditations, said the release.
The event coincided with the launch of the Innovation, Design, and Entrepreneurship (IDE) Bootcamp, scheduled from September 23 to 27. This initiative, endorsed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, aims to foster entrepreneurial skills among student innovators across the country.
