IIT Bhubaneswar Faculty Among World’s Top 2% Scientists As Per Stanford-Elsevier Ranking

Bengaluru: IIT Bhubaneswar has achieved a rare feat in research and innovation space as six faculty members from the institute have been recognized among the top 2% of scientists worldwide. This ranking was released by Stanford University in collaboration with Dutch academic publishing company, Elsevier, the institute said in a release.

This globally-acclaimed annual ranking acknowledges scientists based on the impact of their research work, citation index, and other critical academic parameters.

The recognised faculty members for the year 2024 are:

  1. Prof. Subhransu Ranjan Samantaray, School of Electrical and Computer Sciences
  2. Prof. Rajan Jha, School of Basic Sciences
  3. Prof. P. Dinakar, School of Infrastructure
  4. Prof. Manas Mohan Mahapatra, School of Mechanical Sciences
  5. Dr. Pattabhi Ramaiah Budarapu, School of Mechanical Sciences
  6. Dr. Barathram. Ramkumar, School of Electrical and Computer Sciences

 

Out of the six members, four have been ranked in the career-long research category. While Subhransu Ranjan Samantaray has been recognized for his research in the field of energy, Rajan Jha for his work in the field of optics; V R Pedireddi for his research in the field of inorganic & nuclear chemistry and P Dinakar for his work in the field of building and construction engineering, the release said.
