IIT Bombay Announces Summer Fellowship 2020; Details Here

The Fellowship programme is open to college students from all the streams (Engineering, Science, Arts, Commerce) and degree levels (Bachelor’s. Master’s, PhD).

Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) has announced the Summer Fellowship programme 2020. The Fellowship programme will be conducted under the FOSSEE (MHRD) Project which is open to college students from all the streams (Engineering, Science, Arts, Commerce) and degree levels (Bachelor’s. Master’s, PhD).

The last date to complete the registration process for the Summer Fellowship programme is February 25, 2020, and the last date to submit the applications is March 7, 2020.

The fellowship results will be declared by the IIT Bombay by April 2020. Candidates interested to apply for the fellowship programme can visit the official website of IIT Bombay for further details.

Along with submitting the applications for the Summer Fellowship Programme, students are also required to submit a ‘Screening task’ on any of the two topics from the options provided on the official website.

The topics under Tasks that require proposal and acceptance, students are to make a proposal and submit the tasks only after the acceptance of the proposal.  Under Tasks that do not require proposal and acceptance, the students are required to submit the task without any proposal.

The tasks will take up to a month to be completed, hence interested candidates are advised to start the application process well beforehand. The tasks submitted will be reviewed by the domain experts at FOSSEE and after the review, the selected participants will be called for the fellowship programme at IIT Bombay.

FOSSEE works on the promotion and development of the Free/Libre and Open Source Software in education funded by the National Mission on Education through ICT, MHRD, Government of India.
