IIT-Bombay Releases PG, PhD 2025 Admission Schedule, Check The Details
The registration for MA, MTech and PhD programmes will begin on March 25 on its official website, iitb.ac.in.
NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT-B) has released the admission schedule for the postgraduate and PhD programmes for 2025-26 academic session.
The registration window for various MA, MTech and PhD programmes will open on March 25. Candidates can submit applications on the official website, iitb.ac.in.
The academic session for these courses will begin from July 2025.
IIT Bombay offers 10 programmes, which include PhD, MTech, MS by Research in Computer Science and Engineering, MS by Research in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (in CMInDs), MS by Research in Healthcare Informatics, Dual Degree: MTech + PhD, Master in Public Policy (MPP), Dual Degree: MA + PhD in Philosophy (Department of Humanities and Social Sciences), Master in Development Practice (MDP) and Master of Arts by Research (MA in Research)
The IIT Bombay will conduct the entrance test for its MPP programme for the autumn semester on May 6 in offline mode. The interview for selected candidates will be held on May 7

For the MA + PhD programmes in Philosophy, the written test for admission for the autumn semester of 2025-26 will be conducted online in two sessions on May 3 and May 4. The selected students need to attend an interview on May 6.

Meanwhile, the IIT Bombay has announced that candidates seeking admission to its Master of Technology (MTech) and Master of Science (MS) by Research programmes under various assistantship categories must register on the Common Offers Acceptance Portal (COAP).
The portal is being coordinated by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore for the 2025-26 academic year.
As per IIT Bombay’s official website, applicants applying for teaching assistantship (TA), teaching assistantship through project (TAP), research assistantship (RA), and research assistantship through project (RAP) must complete their registration on the COAP portal. The portal will be made available by IISc Bangalore after March 20, 2025.
To qualify for these assistantships, candidates must possess a valid Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) score.
