IIT Delhi Abu Dhabi Begins Admission Process For UG Programmes
IIT Delhi - Abu Dhabi offers three B Tech courses—Computer Science and Engineering, Energy Science and Engineering, and Chemical Engineering
NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi – Abu Dhabi has announced the beginning of admissions for its second batch of UG courses for 2025-26 academic year.
IIT Delhi – Abu Dhabi will offer three B Tech programmes—Computer Science and Engineering, Energy Science and Engineering, and Chemical Engineering.
The admissions to these four-year programmes will be conducted through JEE Advanced 2025, and the Combined Admission Entrance Test (CAET) 2025.
The CAET 2025 will be held in two sessions—Session 1 on February 16, 2025, and Session 2 on April 13, 2025. The higher score from the two sessions will be considered for the final selection process.
The CAET 2025 will be held for three hours in pen and paper mode, comprising 60 questions equally distributed among physics, chemistry, and mathematics.
The CAET 2025 will be held in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah in the UAE, apart from New Delhi in India.
Additional venues may be made available in different cities and countries for Session 2, depending on the received applications.
One-third of the total seats will be allocated through JEE (Advanced) 2025 and two-thirds of seats through CAET 2025.
CAET 2025
The CAET 2025 seats are open for the UAE nationals and international students including Indian expatriates, who have completed their high school and five previous years of education in the UAE.
Since its inception in January 2024, IIT Delhi – Abu Dhabi campus has launched an MTech programme in energy transition and sustainability, two BTech courses in computer science and engineering, and energy engineering, respectively, and a PhD programme in energy and sustainability.
Applicants can apply for either one session or both. A portion of the seats will be allocated to the top performers in CAET Session 1, as ‘early admission’.
The final seat allocation will be made on the basis of the combined merit list and the candidates’ preference of disciplines, after the Session 2 exams.
The CAET application portal will remain open until February 6, 2025.
