IIT Kanpur Partners With The Art of Living Foundation For Well-being Of Students
The Art of Living Foundation will conduct sessions that will integrate meditation, breathing techniques, and mindfulness practices for students.
HYDERABAD: The Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (IITK) has forged a tie-up with The Art of Living Foundation (TAOLF) to launch a well-being programme for the students.
The programme is focused on enhancing mental resilience, stress management, and personal growth among the students. The initiative aims to support students in navigating academic and personal challenges with greater ease, a statement issued by the IIT Kanpur said.
As part of this collaboration, the TAOL will conduct specialised sessions at IIT Kanpur that will integrate meditation, breathing techniques, and mindfulness practices to enhance focus, emotional stability, and overall mental well-being.
The programme will include interactive sessions, group activities, and guided meditation programmes led by experienced facilitators from TAOL.
The first phase of the initiative is scheduled to start in the March last week for students at IIT Kanpur, with plans for continued engagement to ensure a lasting impact.
The agreement was signed between Prof. Pratik Sen, Dean of Students Affairs, IIT Kanpur, and Rajesh Jagasia, Director, The Art of Living Foundation, in the presence of Dr. Mahesh Gupta, Board of Governors, IIT Kanpur; Prof. Tajdarul Hassan Syed, Associate Dean Students Affairs, IIT Kanpur; Sweta Kumar, Project Executive Officer, IIT Kanpur; Rajeev Padmanabhan Nambiar, Director, Institutional Programs, The Art of Living; Karn Garg, AOL Apex Body Member from UP; Archit Saxena, AOL Faculty; and Deep Garg.

By collaborating with TAOL, we aim to equip our students with practical tools that will help them manage stress effectively and enhance their overall quality of life,” said Professor Pratik Sen, Dean of Students Affairs, IIT Kanpur.
