Kolkata: The IIT Kharagpur has announced the list of Distinguished Service Awardees 2020 to recognise their outstanding service to the hallowed institute and its alumni community.
The IIT has awarded Vipin Popat (1976 batch), Shiladitya Basu (1999 batch) and Pankaj Kumar Singh (1985 batch) for their outstanding service records and achievements.
Popat, BTech/ME/RK of 1976 batch, is the director of Raghuvanshi (P) Limited, a partner at Jaybee Engineering Works and the owner of Dolphin INC Kolkata.
Basu, a 1999 batch of BTech/AE/NH of the institute, is currently Technical Professional leader — Marine at KBR Consulting in Houston.
Singh, a 1985 batch BTech/CE/PH, is the chief bridge engineer at South Eastern Railway in Kolkata.
