IIT-Kharagpur Assessing COVID Situation To Take Final Call On GATE 2022

Bhubaneswar: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur is yet to decide on the fate of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2022 exam.

According to a report in the NDTV, the institute is presently reviewing the COVID-19 situation in the country to take the final call regarding the postponement of the same. Earlier, the institute had delayed the release of the admit card twice.

The delay in the issuance of admit cards triggered speculations of the exam getting postponed. The candidates would get an official notification regarding the conduct of the examination in the due course of time, the report added.

 Presently, the test is scheduled for February 5 to 13, 2022. The admit card was scheduled to be released on January 3. The same got deferred to January 7.

Candidates will be able to check GATE admit card 2022 date at gate.iitkgp.ac.in.

Meanwhile, IIT-Kharagpur has come up with the GATE 2022 mock test online to help candidates get an insight into the exam pattern.

Interestingly, candidates don’t need to have any login credentials to attempt the mock test.  They will have a default login ID and password.

It may be mentioned that the entrance examination is held for admissions into MTech courses in IITs and other renowned institutes. The scores obtained in GATE are also crucial for various PSU recruitments.
