IIT Madras To Offer 100 Scholarships To These Students
Chennai: As many as 100 scholarships will be extended to students pursuing an online BSc degree in Programming and Data Science at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Madras).
The Institute joined hands with Renault Nissan Technology & Business Centre India Private Limited to give away scholarships to economically weaker students pursuing online BSc courses from the institute.
The deadline for application for both the course and scholarship for January 2022 term is December 21.
Managing Director, RNTBCI, Debashis Neogi; Vice President, Renault Quality and Head CSR, Ramakrishnan Ramanathan; Dean (Academic Courses), IIT Madras, Prof. Prathap Haridoss; and Coordinator, IIT Madras BSc Program, Prof. Andrew Thangaraj attended the inaugural ceremony on December 15, according to a statement released by IIT Madras.
“We have students from various backgrounds who are in need of financial assistance. The scholarships from RNTBCI will help them to achieve their goals, which would have been impossible otherwise. We are delighted to partner with RNTBCI to support the students studying BSc in Programming and Data Science”, the official release quoted Prof. Thangaraj as saying during his speech.
