Indian Army Invites Online Applications For BSc Nursing Course 2020

The Indian Army has released a notification inviting online applications from women candidates for admission to 4 years BSc (Nursing) Course at Colleges of Nursing of Armed Forces Medical Services, on the official website: www.joinindianarmy.nic.in .

Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the course of BSc (Nursing) directly through the official website on or before December 2, 2019. 

“The selected candidates shall execute an agreement/ bond to serve in the Military Nursing Service. On successful completion of training, the candidates will be granted Permanent/Short Service Commission in the Military Nursing Service, under terms and conditions laid down for grant of such commission,” reads the official notification.

A total of 220 seats are open for admission commencing in 2020 at AFMC Pune, CH (EC) Kolkata, INHS Asvini, AH (R&R) New Delhi, CH (CC) Lucknow and CH (AF) Bangalore.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with not less than 50 per cent aggregate marks as a regular student from a recognised university or education body.

Other Eligibility Criteria

Women candidates who are unmarried/ divorced/legally separated/widow, with no encumbrances and born between October 01, 1995 and September 30, 2003 are eligible to apply.

Application Fee – Application Fee for registration is Rs 750/-.

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected on the basis of online exam which is scheduled to be held in April 2020. Candidates who qualify the written test will appear for interview in May 2020. According to the official notification released by the Indian Army, the final selection will be based on the combined merit of Online Computer Based Examination and interview, subject to medical fitness of the candidate, choice and vacancy in each College.
