HYDERABAD: The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is offering a free four-week online course on remote sensing conducted by the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS).
The course is tailored to provide the participants comprehensive insights into remote sensing technologies and their applications across sectors including agriculture, forestry, and urban planning.

- Undergraduate and postgraduate (any year)
- Technical and scientific staff of Central, State government, faculty, researchers at university or institutions

- Registration for this programme began on August 6, 2024. The last date for registration is August 26, 2024. The courses will begin on August 27, 2024.
- The participants can register for either the comprehensive course or individual modules (only three) of their choice

How to register
- Participants can register and see their application status at https://elearning.iirs.gov.in/edusatregistration/
- Participants need to be registered through nodal centers
- Registration must be approved by the coordinator of nodal centers
- Participants whose applications are awaiting approval need to contact the coordinator of respective nodal center
- All approved participants will receive e-mail with login credentials of ISRO E-CLASS platform (https://eclass.iirs.gov.in/login)
Certificate
- Participants with a minimum 40% score in online examination will get ‘Course Completion’ certificate from IIRS, Dehradun
- Certificates will be distributed through the coordinator of the respective nodal centre
Programme reception
- The programme session will be available live through the E-CLASS platform of IIRS-ISRO or using IIRS YouTube channel using internet connectivity
- No specific hardware or software needed
- Content of the sessions will be available offline 24 hours after the class in the e-class portal
