New Delhi: Following the Union Home Ministry’s guidelines on COVID-19, Jamia Millia Islamia has resumed work with 50 per cent staff on a rotation basis.
The university said its offices will be opened from 9 am to 5.30 pm on all working days.
It also issued some guidelines for the staff regarding resumption of duties. These include:
– Employees residing in containment zones will work from home till further orders.
– All the department/staff providing essential services such as medical services, sanitation, electricity, water, telephone department, etc. will continue to work as per the directions given by the heads of the respective departments/offices.
– No outsider will be allowed in the offices/buildings until further orders.
– All non-teaching staff above the rank of section officers will attend work on a regular basis. Teachers are also supposed to attend their departments for official work as directed by the HODs.
– Employees above the age of 60 are advised to work from home.
–Everyone is advised to ensure social distancing and wearing of masks as per government directives.
