New Delhi: An online refresher course in commerce for teachers was started by the Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) on Thursday, January 21. Over 80 faculty members from different universities and colleges across the country will attend the course.
Expert speakers, multinational companies and various research institutes will conduct the two-week-long programme till February 7. It is aimed at training young faculty members to tackle emerging concepts, innovative technical solutions, sensitive issues and challenges at the local level, Jamia Millia Islamia was quoted as saying in a statement by ABP Education.
JMI vice-chancellor Najma Akhtar highlighted the importance of the refresher course in commerce and management studies. The VC also explained how information and communication technology (ICT), artificial intelligence, time management and other emerging issues are important for commerce and management studies in the current scenario.
