Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Admission 2027: Registration Deadline For Classes 9, 11 Extended

NEW DELHI: Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has extended the registration deadline for lateral entry admissions to Classes 9 and 11 of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya for the 2027-28 academic session.

Eligible students can submit their online applications until October 22, 2026 through the official website, navodaya.gov.in. No fee will be charged for the application process.

Students who are yet to submit their application forms can complete the application, upload the required documents, and retain a copy of the submission receipt.

The decision of extending the registration deadline was taken following requests from students and parents. Technical difficulties caused by heavy traffic on the official website during the final days of registration were also cited as a reason for the extension.

JNVST admission 2027: Who can apply

Candidates must meet the class and schooling requirements for the respective admission category during the 2026-27 academic session.

Class 9 admission: Applicants must be studying in Class 8 in a government or recognised school in the relevant district.

Class 11 admission: Students must be studying in Class 10 in a government or recognised school in the relevant district.

JNV Class 9 and 11: test pattern

NVS will conduct the Lateral Entry Selection Test to select students against available vacancies. The examination will consist of objective-type multiple-choice questions and will be conducted using OMR sheets.
