New Delhi: After several complaints from IIT students applying for the Joint Entrance Exam JEE (Advanced) 2020, JEE authorities finally agreed and gave an option to upload the category certificates at the time of reporting after seat allocation.

Earlier, students applying for the exam were directed to upload certificates by September 26. JEE Advanced 2020 will be organised by IIT, Delhi on September 27.

Also, as per guidelines from authorities, certificates issued before April 1, 2020, would not be valid and such students would have to apply in the general category.

A notice on JEE Advanced 2020 website read, “Due to COVID related restrictions hindering the issuance of various certificates in time, valid category certificate (s) may be uploaded at the time of reporting after seat allocation.”

Many aspirants along with students from economically weaker sections, were concerned as they did not have a fresh certificate.
