JEE Advanced 2021 To Be Held On July 3; Eligibility Criterion Of 75% Marks In Board Exams Done Away With

New Delhi: The JEE Advanced 2021 exam will be held on July 3, Union Minister of Education Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal announced on Thursday.

In a significant move, the eligibility criterion of securing 75 per cent marks in class XII board exams for admission to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) has been done away with.

This year’s JEE Advanced, a qualifying exam for admission to undergraduate engineering courses at IITs, will be conducted by IIT Kharagpur.

“I wish all the students the very best, all candidates have enough time to prepare for the exam,” the Education minister said.

The top candidates among the 2.50 lakh students who clear JEE Main will qualify for the much more difficult JEE Advanced.

It has already been announced that JEE Main 2021 will be conducted across four sessions from February to May, instead of the normal two sessions in a year.
