JEE Main 2021: 7.32 Lakh Candidates Register So Far For Last Two Sessions

New Delhi: Higher participation of students is expected in the last two sessions of the JEE Main 2021 scheduled between July 20 and September 2.

The engineering entrance exam’s third and fourth editions will begin after a gap of five months since the first two sessions. All four sessions of JEE Main 2021 were scheduled to be completed by May, but they had to be deferred multiple times due to the soaring COVID-19 tally across the country.

According to the National Testing Agency (NTA) data, around 7.32 lakh candidates have so far registered for the JEE Main 2021. This is the highest figure till now and registration is scheduled to continue for 4 more days.

The NTA has said that a total of 7.09 lakh applications have been registered for the third session exam. Over 6.3 lakh candidates had registered on average for the first two sessions held in February and March.

The JEE Main 2021 will be held in 334 cities including 12 cities abroad. Bahrain, Colombo, Doha, Dubai, Kathmandu, Kuala Lumpur, Lagos, Muscat, Riyadh, Sharjah, Singapore and Kuwait will also have centres for JEE Main 2021.
