JEE Main 2021 February Examination: Dos & Don’ts

New Delhi: Candidates who will appear for the first session of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2021 are at the last stages of preparation. The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2021 will commence on February 23.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has already issued the admit card for the exam which can be downloaded from the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. The admit card has instructions that candidates must follow on the exam day.

Meanwhile, JEE Main admit card has a section for self-declaration, where candidates should record their health status and recent travel history. The NTA has introduced this measure to ensure safety of students and staff members in view of the COVID-19 pandemic, reported NDTV.

However, candidates should do, or avoid, certain things during JEE Main 2021 February exams.

Dos

Visit the exam centre on time as per your admit card. Try to inspect the venue once before the exam day

The admit card must be carried along with a valid photo ID

Fill the self-declaration section, attach photograph and put left-hand thumb impression but don’t sign it. You need to sign it in presence of an invigilator

Face mask is a must. Also wear gloves and bring your personal hand sanitiser (50 ml) in a transparent bottle

If possible, bring drinking water in a transparent bottle. Also, carry a simple transparent ballpoint pen

Wear light colour and comfortable clothes in view of the season and weather on the day of JEE exam

Don’ts

Do not carry any personal belongings like a mobile phone or bag. The authorities will not take responsibility for safeguarding your personal belongings

Do not cover heads with caps or dupatta, etc unless prior permission. If you wear kara or kirpan for religious reasons, you need to reach the JEE exam centre 1.5 hours before the gate closing time and inform the officials

Do not wear watches to the JEE exam centre

Metallic objects will be strictly prohibited in JEE Main 2021 exam. So, students are advised not to wear jewellery, ornaments, or any other gadget

Candidates are not allowed to use sunglasses or goggles during the exam

Footwear with thick soles and garments with large buttons are also not allowed
