JEE Main Results: Cut-Off Marks Drop For All Categories

Bhubaneswar: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the category-wise cut off scores for JEE Advanced 2021. In the general category, it is 87.8992241, which is less compared to 90.3765335 last year. This year’s cut-offs are less than the previous year in the all categories list. JEE Main 2021 session four result for the BTech paper was announced on Wednesday along with session four results.

The cut-off marks depend on the JEE Main various factors including the number of total candidates, availability of seats in the participating institutions, previous year’s trends and the difficulty level of the exam. For the first time, JEE Main was conducted in four sessions this year.

The registration for the JEE Advanced exam has started on jeeadv.ac.in. The top 2.5 lakh students who have qualified in JEE Main can apply.

NTA has held around 20 students for using unfair means and cheating in the JEE examination and has also debarred them from appearing in future exams for a period of three years. Their results have also been withheld.

As per the norms mentioned in JEE Main information brochure, “During, before or after the examination, if any candidate is found to use any unfair means (UFM), he or she will be debarred for 3 years from appearing in JEE Main. Such a candidate will also be liable for criminal action. Results of candidate(s) who indulge in UFM and malpractices will be cancelled and will not be declared. Similarly, the results of those candidates who appear from the centre other than the one allotted to them or allow another candidate or person to write the exam on his behalf will be cancelled.”
