HYDERABAD: The admission process for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) for the 2025-26 academic year has begun. Parents intending to enrol their children in Class 6 at the school can submit applications on the official JNV website, navodaya.gov.in

Eligibility criteria for JNV Admission 2025
Students enrolled in Class 5 are eligible to apply for admission to Class 6 at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs). Students can apply only to the Navodaya Vidyalaya located in their home district, not in any other district. Residence certificate for the child should be provided while submitting application forms. Students can attempt the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya entrance examination only once.
Students must have passed their Classes 3, 4, and 5 at a government or government-aided, or recognised school. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya reserves 75% of the total seats for the students from rural areas within each district, while the remaining seats are available for the students from both urban and rural areas.
Selection process for JNV Admission 2025
Admission is given based on merit and students are selected on the basis of their performance in the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST). The entrance examination evaluates students on their proficiency in mathematics, mental ability, and regional language.

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the link titled “Click here for Class VI Registration 2025.”
Step 3: Register using the required credentials and proceed to fill out the application form.
Step 4: Scan and upload all necessary documents in the prescribed format.
Step 5: Pay the required application fee to complete the process.
