Bengaluru: After a gap of nine months due to coronavirus outbreak and subsequent lockdowns, all medical and paramedical colleges in Karnataka reopened on Tuesday, reported news agency PTI.
Dental, AYUSH, paramedical, nursing and pharmacy colleges too started regular classes, by strictly adhering to COVID-19 guidelines.
Karnataka Minister for Health and Medical Education, Dr K Sudhakar had earlier allowed the medical colleges to reopen on December 1. Degree, diploma and engineering colleges had already reopened on a regular basis from November 17.
All necessary COVID protocols have been followed in the medical colleges — usage of face masks, hand sanitisers and maintaining social distance have been made mandatory.
All faculties, staff and the students have been ordered to produce a negative RT-PCR test report for attending classes.
