Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala High Court has rejected a petition seeking a stay on online classes.
Justice CS Dias rejected the plea by a Kerala parent, who contended that many students couldn’t avail of the online classes as they don’t have access to the internet and required infrastructure.
This was hampering the right to education of students from economically backward sections and SC/ ST communities, the petitioner, CC Girija, said, adding that the authorities concerned should either provide the necessary equipment to students or stop the online classes.
On its part, the Kerala government has said that it is planning to provide the required resources and technology to every student so that they can attend online classes, which will be started on a regular basis from June 14, India Today reported.
