Students Of KIIT Bhubaneswar Win National Competition On IP Rights

The students of KIIT Bhubaneswar, have made their institute proud again by winning a national level competition. This time five students from the KIIT School of Film & Media Sciences (SFMS) have won the National video competition on IP Rights (Intellectual Property Rights) organised by ‘IPRISM’ in association with the Central Government.

In this pan Indian competition, Himanshu Katolkar got the first prize comprising trophy citation and a cash reward of Rs 25,000. Taufique Rehman bagged the second prize along with cash reward of Rs 15,000. Puru Priyam stood fourth, Ankit Pattnaik ranked fifth and Arnab Maity clinched the sixth position.

‘IPRISM’, the one of its kind intellectual property competition, was launched by Cell for IPR Promotion and Management (CIPAM)-The Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) in association with ASSOCHAM and ERICSSON India.

The ‘IPRSIM’ competition aims to foster a culture of innovation and creativity among the younger generation. It invites students to submit films on piracy and counterfeiting under two categories of 30 and 60 seconds. In another category, there is competition for mobile gaming App on IP.
